I completed my undergraduate degree at the School of the Museum of
Fine Arts in Boston, studying fine art. I lived in several US cities after
graduation before settling in NYC where I worked as a graphic designer
and art director, taking photos, videos and making artists books.
I studied draping and millinery at FIT for a few years before I decided to
get my MA in Textile Design for fashion at Central Saint Martins in London.

I can bake but not cook, draw but not paint, and speak French but not Spanish.
I grew up with a big extended family in a tiny town in Massachusetts.

NEWS

• I'm teaching textile classes this summer at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn!

• I will be promoting the Virgin Knitters project at a booth atAustin's
Maker Faire October 18 & 19 2008. I'll be teaching knitting to anyone who wants
to join the project and also be spreading the word about beginner's luck!

• I am teaching classes at Etsy labs in Brooklyn and you can see my natural
dyeing How-To video here.

• I participated in the 21 Cities Project at Conflux this past September
(final work hasn't been updated on their site yet)

• I was featured in Iqons 15 Minutes of Fame on August 15, 2007. My profile is here.

• My work has been profiled in Coroflot's Magazine

• My latex jackets are noted on www.vvork.com

• I have a gallery on the Saatchi website

• You can now see my work on the UK's Axis website. Axis Graduates aims to show
the diversity of work being produced by the top new MA graduates and includes
work from Central St Martins, Slade, RCA, Goldsmiths and Glasgow School of Art.
I was nominated by Freddie Robins.

• My Marriage Shirt project has been documented in Sonic Scope Quarterly ::
contemporary visual art issue #6 :: Winter 2006, which is downloadable from
the Portugal-based Grain of Sound.
