For my Master's degree in textiles at Central Saint Martins in London,
I designed a collection of garments that change over time. There are
four main concepts that feed the process that I used to develop my ideas.
They are that clothes can communicate on several levels, that time and
change are the essence of fashion, that time and change are essentially
narrative, and that the basis for a strong collection is the relationship
between the wearer, object, and maker. My collection has 6 designs in
3 garments, two dresses and a jacket, that evolve over time into another
3 garments. In each one hides another that will emerge eventually. I
developed techniques to utilize materials such as dissolvable thread,
natural dyes and heat transfer printing that would create new textiles with
the use of sunlight, water (in the washing machine), and exposure to air.

See photographs and sketches of one of the dresses and jacket on this page.
