A few more (ridiculous) ideas
Did you make it through the weekend okay? We’ve got a few more nutty ideas to keep you on your toes!
COMICS
How about some comics making? Above is our youngest daughter’s comic from last spring break. Pick a topic just from regular conversation or try opening a book to a random page and picking something from there. Remember you can use words and images in all kinds of ways. Below are some drawings of imaginary creatures.
MAKE MASKS
This picture is from quite a few years ago, and the mask is something we got in a book, but the idea is still good. Kids, even little ones, can draw a face from a favorite book on a piece of paper (floppy paper can be glued together to get firmer). Then a parent (or kid if they’re big enough) can cut it out, poke two holes in the sides with a sharp pencil, and tie a string to make it into a mask. Then read the book or act it out with the mask. Kids can continue acting the stories while parents sneak in a little work or cooking or any practical thing that needs to be done!
Need more ideas? We have a couple more up our sleeves….check back tomorrow.
