Ideas for staying sane at home

I don’t know about you, but whether you have kids or not, it’s feeling pretty hard to stay motivated with all the closures and social distancing. In our last newsletter we talked about some of the ways we are keeping busy with the kids at home and still keeping up with studio work & teaching. I’m going to share some ideas of some of the things we have done in our past Camp Nottene projects and new ideas for keeping the blues away and staying creative and active. I’ll post a bunch over the next few days!! Let me know if you have other ideas and I’ll share them as well….

START A CLUB

This is something our kids do at after care: pick a theme you are interested in and start a club with regular meetings. Might be a great one to do online with friends too….what kind of club would you start? I’m thinking about an online drawing night in front of the computer with friends…

Have a stack of post its at home? Not exactly leaving a lot of notes? We participate in the Giant Robot Post It show in LA every fall, and we thought why not have one of our own this week….Above are some of ours from previous years, but now all four of us are completing a set of 4 each to hang in the foyer for a tiny art show. We’ll have an opening this weekend, and I hope to serve tiny glasses of juice and tiny art opening snacks. It’s the details that count the most these days!

More tomorrow!!
