I have been meaning to post about my favorite designers I shared pages with in Uppercase Magazine's Surface Pattern Design Guide. There were 100 designers in this special supplement to issue 21, and it was a real challenge for me to narrow down to a few favorites to share…but I managed. A bunch of them will be at Surtex with me (booth 454!) so definitely check it out:

Alanna Cavanagh

WATIETS

WATIETS is Dutch for a certain something, or as the French say: je ne sais quoin. WATIETS is also a cooperation of two Dutch freelance designers, Chris van Middendorp and Sarah Meije Pieterse. Their Blocks, above, completely won me over! Watiets.nl

Samantha Hahn

Samantha is one of those people who I met in real life before I discovered her beautiful work. She is really well known for her watercolor work, but I love her patterns too: Samanthahahn.com

Lauren Rolwing

Lesley Barnes
